16th July Alnwick Castle and Gardens

As usual my holiday entries are always delayed a little.cos of the pictures uploading and i dont have much time for myself here in LEEDS. Every bit of time in Leeds must go into this blog as i promised. and how could i possibly be lazy and miss this holiday entry out. Since after the Paris trip i didnt travel much... was real busy catching up with People and working at BK. Was looking for a holiday and i wanted to see the newcastle people one more lasttime before i go back malaysia. Turns out that this trip was more than just a holiday. I really thank God for the people i meet when im in newcastle. i admit the time is short for everyone. but at least there are blessed times.

On my first day in newcastle, i arrive like in the evening. Sharon and adelene pick me up from the train station. Drop my stuff at sharon's place. lepak at adelenes place for a while looking at her euro pictures. this gurl betulbetul gila travel. she travelled like everywhere of europe. and its not like those touch and go kind of travelling. most of the places are at least 5days. Later in the evening, adelene took me to Newcastle Cf. i enjoy myself there. studied Luke 12 that night.mainly talk from verse 22 to verse 34. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

After cf. i was dog tired. went back to sharons place and slept the night there. Sharon is a superb host. provided such a great place. an ensuite room! with tv and all. big bed. got duvet. got pillow. wa lao. u too much sharon. thanksie sooo cho cho much.

The very next morning. Me, Sharon, Huixin ,mark,joanna and her family... we went to Alnwick Castle. The place where they filmed Harry Potter.

Roses. are red and violtes are blue. honey is sweet but not as sweet susu pekat dutchlady. In the garden we took like a million photos of the flowers. its really gorgeous. and u can actually smell the roses everywhere. the garden is huge. a nice walk. really really nice walk. and very colorful. Was saying to sharon and huixin abt i wonder how it is like to walk through this garden at night and the moon is up. Probably the roses will reflect the moonlight and making the garden look like a walk to Neverland.
I'm not a flower person ok. and even more im a guy. i dont appreciate flowers much. But this place really amaze me. with its colors.

Millions and millions of them. How beautiful and detail God created every single one of this flowers. Luke 12:27. Christ said: " Consider how the lilies grow.they do not labor or spin. Yet i tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these." This verse came from the bible reading the night before rang in my head when i look all of this flowers. It just makes me feel like God u are so beautiful and how wonderful u have make me and called me ur own imagine. How often youths or young people worry of how they look and how ugly they think they are. eyes too small, nose too koala like, chin so round, figure so unlike cocacola bottle, what a round tummy. Yet still the bible says that even with all of solomon splendor...none is dress like one of these lilies. Even with all the money and plastic surgery technology. It can never create the way God has create us. The walk through the garden seeing all this wonderful flowers makes me thank God more. The hands that make every single flower i see , is the same hands that created the beautiful me.

water water everywhere. i got a video of the water fountains. damn nice leh. and BIG! they come out in different sequences. super super nice. wish i know how to upload videos onto blogspot. nvmd nvmd. when im back malaysia dont forget to ask me to show you the video of this wonderful fountain show. Pictures is a thousand words. Video clips then must be a thousand pictures.

this circle-ly structure makes water surround ya.and when u get into the middle of the structure like where i am standing. its damn cooling leh esspecially again i have to mention on a hot summer weather. cold water circling around you.

After the trip at alnwick. we went back home straight. i slept like a pig in sharons housse. damn tired leh. whole day out. and in the bus keep on talkin to Mark.

It was great meeting all of them again.esspecially fangkee. after dinner. went back to sharons place relax for a while... then went to see fangkee. i really thank God for this opportunity He has given me. i didnt get to talk to him in person when he has to go back malaysia temp. only get to email. Well, cant tell much why meeting him means a lot to me. But im very bless lo. for this opportunity He has given me.Been praying for this friend of mine a lot. Its a joy to be able to see meet him.

17th July- Whitley Bay & Tynemouth

On the 15th of May Trueblue showed me pictures of Whitley bay and the Snt Marys Lighthouse. It was so nice that i just have to see more of it for myself. and after all i am a BeachManiac.So yea. on my last day in newcastle. i went to whitley bay and tynemouth. Adelene took me there. Trueblue had to pick her parents.

a great experience. european beaches are way different from the tropical beaches we have back home Malaysia.the beaches here are more rocky. the sun is bright in summer but u dont feel hot cos of the wind. Picture of me and adelene before we take our long walk down to snt mary lighthouse.
u see it? Snt Mary in a distance. The beach is so empty hor. the beach is just gorgeous man. simply simply gorgeous. blue clear sea water. wonderful skies. the smell of salted air. and the music the waves make. I love the beach!!!!!

i wonder why did they build this little bridge by the beach. adelene is fascinated by it.
after an hours walk down the beach.we see snt marys nearer.no complains. just love the feel of sand between ur toes.
Snt Mary's Lighthouse. hundred years over. in this picture. the sea has a low tight ( is that how we spell it?). so it is visible to see the bridge that leads to the snt marys light house. but when they is high tight. you cant even see the little bridge that leads to snt marys because it will all be covered with sea water. people say that it is difficult to go back to land again after 6pm because of the high tight.
i saw wedding photos taken here in trueblue's computer. and the scenery is just so wonderful with the high tight covering the bridge.

After whitley bay. We went to tynemouth. Its a castle located somewhere along whitley bay. when we reach there.There is some English festival goin on. it was really lively. So unlike pesta pulau pinang. there live jazz bands every where. lotsa musicians everywhere. Ppl doing magic shows. Old classic 60s singers. and most of all we get to go into the tynemouth castle for free. Usually we have to pay but on that day we went.It was for free!

as u can see.the beach at tynemouth is a lot more lively than whitley bay. lotsa ppl enjoying themselves by the beach..soaking up the sun.
Live crazy jazz band. their music is so so so good.they danced while they played too.

Its very very crowded in the castle grounds. tons of people everywhere.lotsa side shows everywhere. what a nice atmosphere it was.

by evening we quickly rush to get back to the uni campus.time spend with every person i meet here is precious and very limited.

My short holiday in newcastle is wonderful. Going to the beach. The Alnwick Gardens. and most of all. The friends! its the friends. the people i meet in newcastle that matters most. i wish i get to spend more time with everyone of them. but time is limited. and i have to say lo, God divided the time evenly for everyone lo. Was great talkin to Mark in the bus about his england life. Was awesome to share faith with fangkee n the opportunity to pray.Spending one last england time with sharon. seeing her collection postcards. I really enjoyed this trip to newcastle. Thank God that manager sophie gave me three days leave in a row.

Btw, my newcastle holiday entry took me three days to complete. i keep on posting pictures. typing half way then have to leave. so yea.if u notice of any gaps in the entry. so sorry. its been a very busy week for me. God Bless!~
