25hour day

in 20minutes time i will experience my first ever 25 hours day ever. yupes/. i dont have the scientific reasoning for it. but everyboyd here in leeds, when the clock strucks tweleve midnte tonite, we will all have to qadjust our watches back to 11pm again.the parkisn clock also the same. hehe. syiok.25hour day

today is a super tiring day, among all the days in the world again, im assigned to do the dinign area for work. argh. its weekend. its mega busy, many kids somemore.kids dunno how to eat properly and know how to mess up the place. my first straight 8hours too.

got back home late, had a good dinner with my law classmates, siou hui's parents is in leeds. so sorta little welcome to leeds celebration.hehe. good food. good bak kut teh. hehe. this week God has bless me twice, in providing me malaysian food dinners.free somemore!! haha.

oh..the pictures which u see. are pictures taken on tuesday, dinner at william's house.its sorta cg thing to let the new ones be more comfortable with one anohter. it was mega fun. hehe. i lazy to edit. cos bad bad blogspot. take so freakin long to load each of them.

anyway.the photos are in sequence. where Ben dikena the T-rex virus, then later william also got it. then we started to chasing girls like t-rexes, then in the end, the whole group of guys become t-rex. haha. silly photo. but fun. didnt know we were that crazy then. all doin t-rexes pose =P.

just an update

Theres lots to catch up in my studies, i have been given my first assignment yesterday. and my dateline is in a months time! so fast. somemore theres seminars to prepare for next week.its like just last week. i have been busy bee just to prepare for my seminars and now. this week have to prepare for next week's. hehe. and the lecturers moving like cho cho train lidat. haha. sounds just like any uni student.

Working in burger king, is a great experience.im assigned to the kitchen today, and guess what, they like me do the prepare the burgers job. mega lots work man. didnt know just making burgers can be confusing at times. customers want this and dat / with this and that.haha. but it was fun. a good expereince and great money too.haha.plus the free food! God really bless well with this part-job.

I had dinner with my cg members today, vincent cook good curry chicken and theres lotsa chicken wings tonite haha.we played games too. and we had great fellowship. my classmates really enjoy being part fo the cg. i believe God is doing a great work thro this cg and church.

God blessed me with gettin to know mat salleh friends better, esspecially with my colleagues, they are a bunch of nice people to talk to. haha and they are funny. chris, a mat salleh friend of mine has been working in burger king since end of highschool all the way till now in uni,as a highschool student. hehe. hes been telling burger king is his second home and all, haha, since he lives just 10minutes from burger king. i got an email from the chirstian union, apparently they have just started a lupton residence cellgroup on wednesdays nites. hehe. it will come into effect beginning next wednesday. hehe. am looking forward to it. more mat salleh friends to know and grow deeper with. God let me came all the way here for a purpose, and im sure certain that one of his purpose is to know the internationals here. =)

i want long hair again.my hair is growing longer everyday, its ugly now haha. cos its between long and short neat. i have no cap or hairband, haha so i have been using the burger king cap to keep my hair from poking my eyes when i do my rreading. haha.

hmm... besides that. nothing much la. miss home miss food. girl u think the food i cook here looks good. i still miss Penang hawker food!!! i miss it very much.

3hours ago, me and pris decided to combine cook dinner together, and waa laa. pris cook red chilli tar ewe bak and mua Ben cook curry beef with veggie. guess which is which =)
Huijen ar, i know you are stress with exams, but remember to take some time to sit on the " chair" and relax. Play Hard will result to Work Hard.

I'm standing on the bridge, the midst came and the next thing i know I'm standing on air.haha. its just an illustration of how thick the midst can be when its too cold and drizzling.hehe. The weather everyday is getting colder and colder. haha. seems like almost everyday i have been telling ppl about the weather, well i cant help it.its so cho cho cho cold!

I have two things to share with you:

1. have you heard of the saying that goes , " behind every successful man, there is a woman". Let me give u a version which i have adopted, " behind every successful man, there is a family which he honors". yupeyupe. Honoring your parents is the key to success. this applies to all of us, even to non christians. go ahead, go and read the papers and news about ppl achieving success, there is never an absent of mentionin how they have honored thier parents. haha. even the malaysianidol winner daniel mentioned about how much he wants to make his parents proud. Success is one of the Lord's biggest promises to us in our lives, but it comes with a requirement, Ephesians6:1-3, "Children obey your parents in the Lord ,for this is right 'honor your father and mother' - which is the first commandment with a promise - ' that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy life on the earth'.

2. i was talking to a missionary kid a few days ago,she told me that she could not really define when i say i miss home, cos she has been moving around so many places in the world that she has no sufficient time to settle at a place and call it 'home' but rather ' temp. home' and it goes on to temp home1 ,temp. home 2, etc. i like the way she defines how a home is, a home is a family, wherever you have a family, that is your home, being spiritual or blood related. God has always been blessing me a home i an be with no matter where i go,-the church. God have always been quick to provide me the best cg and church friends i need to supoort my spirituality. Part of the reason why we are created in the Purpose Driven life, is because we are created for God's family, as i mentioned before we are all wounded healers who carry one anothers burdens,regardless when we ourselves are hurt or not. There are many verses in the bible which explains the chuch as the family of God, but one which strikes me most is . Ephesians(again)3:19 " ...you are no longer foreigners and aliens,but fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household". God have been speaking to me much about my social life here in Leeds,which i will not go into detail. But all i can say is God is always good. as he has always been to all of us.

haha. anyway on the lighter part of this blog. this week has been a major hectic week for me, with seminars almost every two days. i have one more last one to complete by next thrusday. Thank God, most of my workload is off. There's so much to read for our seminars, no use goin to seminar tutorials when u dont do any reading and presentation rite? =)

so far i can only thing of one bad thing that happen to me this week, my house toilet flush is spoiled!!! so teruk, we can only bare with it till the maintainance ppl come one of the weekday. so cham. we (housemates)have to shit at other places, haha. we got a little baldi to use to flush the toilet in "kampung" style when we do the little call of nature.

Manchester Trip

The Manchester day trip was superb!The best part of the trip was when we went there to visit old trafford. Spend alf the day there then go to the manchester city center.

Me, aimee, and pricilla, as we lie in lupton residence,we had to wake up super early to go to parkinson steps. we had to be at the parkinson steps by 730am. the bus to there from our places comes only every half an hour. so yea...me woke up at 6am to get ready and all. never before i wake so early in leeds. the weather is so so cho cho cold. VERY cold.dunno how will it be like winter man.

When we arrive, we meet up with the malaysia society people there in parkinson building. waited for the bus. hmm..., i cant remember much of what happen in the bus. i think i was sleeping or dreamin.

At 830am, we arrive at old trafford. When i first saw it couldnt stop looking at the big big bulding while the rest were just chit chating. Going to manchester united, old trafford stadium, is a dream come dream for me.

When we arrive we took lotsa photos(sorry guys that i didnt put much pictures up, blogspot giving me lotsa probelms in posting entries). There was a tour guide to take us around old trafford.tellin every history of the stadium. He showed us the VIP rooms, the dressing room of the players, the football stadium itself!!,the cafeterias, the team dock, press conference room,etc. haha. so mega mega nice. oh ya when we wwere in the VIP room, one of my friends(Janice) ask the tour guide:is this the place where Beckham meet Victoria?. The tour guide answered: Errr..who is that?( what great sarcasim). haha. seems like they don't lik beckham at all. haha. after all he did reqeust to go to madrid. And oh, the tour guide also showed us the place where Sir Alex Ferguson woould meet his players, he commented that Ferguson is very cho cho strict guy in punctuality and strict man too.

Then in the football field stadium. Waaa...its huge and nice. The football capacity can fit in 77000audiences they say. its like every angle is build in such a way that the football field doesnt look far from you. haaha. took lotsa photos here. we went to the football staidum through the players tunnel. haha. this is where Keane and Viera had their little fight last season.

In the players changing room. it was ordinary la. nothin special =). the tour guides post up posters of the players in each bench to show us which player sits in which bench.haha. when i first came in staright away went for the bench which ronaldo sits. The tour guide then give more talks about the changing room history, what happen in there, fergie kick the boot at beckham,etc. oh ya, they also have a warm up room in the players changing room, its build specially by cantona when he prefered to do his full warm up behind crowds.

Then we taken to the MU MEGAStore. waaa..its like the biggest MU store ever. Pure MU fan will love it.my dad will certainly love it. haha. so many things can buy here. not just jerseys but many many thins like chains,necklaces, monuments!,posters, shirts,shirts,shirts, and more shirts.haha.

After that we bit goodbye to Old Trafford. i didnt want to go home, i was even silly enuff to ask the administrator if they have a vacant for part timers.

Nest we went to manchester city center. Nothing much here la. the malaysian society people went to eat a 10pound per person dimsum at some cina restaurant in cina town manchester. me and aimee didnt eat dimsum, instead we went for chinese oriental buffet!! haha which cost us only 4pounds with student price. so cho cho yummy. then we all went our seperate ways, me and aimee went to find manchester university, cos since we came all the way here my as well find the uni and compare. haha. hard that its the top 3for law schools in england. Girl, work hard and study manchester uni okay. u sure will not regret it =)

We went back to leeds by bus at 6pm. The trip so sien. all the malaysians speking their ching chang ching. which i dont understand.its so like the life in inti nilai. so i sleep. haha wat a bad social life with the malaysians.

Overall the trip is great. what i notice is that England cities are all almost the same. i dont think i have come to a place like there is major city diff like Kajang city and kuala lumpur kind. Over here even their small town cities are as equally up to date as the manchester or leeds. i guess its the size of the city which makes the city famous. okayla. i gotta stop here. enjoy the pictures okay. will update more.

The stadium looks small hugh. but its actually massively huge. the sittings takes 77K ppl. oh ya, i also asked them how to pruchase a ticket from the stadium itself, they say we have to be a member of the MU Fan Club only to be able to purcahse a ticket. and the sits which u see in the picture, forming the words:Manchester United, those are the most expensive seats. about 80-150pounds.depending on the match.

Where shall i rest.

I was reading the book of Mark and i just thought of sharing you guys what i have learned.
Mark 6:30-56.

The apostle just came back from a big mission trip under the authority of Jesus. The Lord knows that they are tired and needed rest.so v30,he said: "Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest". God knows when we need to rest. sometimes we just get so caught up doing "missions" for him that we tend to forget of how tired we are. Even when we are under the authority of Christ to do missions... Christ still wants us to "..go to a quiet place and get some rest". He knows that we can be so caught in DOING the mission than BEING the mission. When we get tired...very often every man will eventually lose their focus. Christ knows that..thats why He also says : "Come to me all of you who are weary". Just like in the story of mary and martha of how Martha was busying preparing the Home for Christ while mary just sat at the feet of Jesus just hearing His word and listenning to Him. It is at those times when we sit at the feet of JEsus hearing from Him, we accomplished most.

Friends, Have we come to situations where we feel tired but yet still want to go on for Christ thinking that hey, feeling exhausted tired is all part of running this race. Many of us have felt that ...i believe. But tonite i have learned something different in my christian walk. Resting in the arms of my Saviour.

yes.its good that we are doing lots of work for God. But how far have this work gone into our heads that we have forgotten to "rest under the shadow of His wings"? Even Christ himself when he is doing his ministry preaching to thousands..He will still always make time for rest and find His father. v.45-46 : " immediately Jesus made his disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him ..while he dismissed the crowd.After leaving them, he went up on a mountainside
to pray."

Lets find rest in the Lord, and be recharged so that we will always be able to remain focus in our race. Super marathon Runners needs to rest to, in order that they will be able to focus where they are running to. no use forcing yourself running and not know where you are going.

A New Dream

Friday night: A New Dream, was totally awesome!!!
God really was moving in the midst of the whole welcoming service. The church organised this event so that the chinese students and people will be able to know more about the church and God =). This event was organise by Leeds Chinese Chuch, the church which i go. grins.
I invited many of friends and surprisingly many of them turn up for the event. haha. Praise God. there are about 150 ppl who came that night.its was fun. we had games, choir performances ,worship time and sharing of the Word by Wee Leon, one of the chuch leaders.
The sketch is very fuunyy. and they did lotsa practie before the A New Dream event, a whole week long of practices just on a sketch. fui yoh.
Anyway, i think this is like the 3rd time im trying to blog this down. i dunno why blogspot have been so naughty to me making me fail to publish my post alway. anyway, here are some pictures for you all to enjoy and to roughly experienced what i had on that Friday nite.Enjoy~~ God Bless Pasting our name tags onto the flyer, haha no rreason, just for the fun of it.

Dunno why. i just feel like saying it. classes are getting tougher.more things to absorb everyday. kinda fun though.and yes.i have decided to take cyber law andmake no changes to it. gonna give my best in this 100% assignment based exam paper.

Hmm...actually had lots to blog about.but dunno why lose momentum.

i only have 5hours of lecture a week! can u imagine that?!!!haha. tommorow..im goin for my parttime interview in town. starbucks, gap store, ainswell bakery, burger king,...4places!! God is so good. haha. Girl, dont tell dad that i got part time job yet ok. haha. cos i havent got any yet. so shiisshhh...dont say a word girl.

hmm...sia hui and kerting ( my classamtes), help transfered some movies into my computer. hehe. i got lords of dogtown!, anybody watched that show yet? i think its cool. touchy a little too.

this coming friday is leeds chinese church welcoming night. theres performances, food,games, and stuff la. will take lotsa pictures then. for now. i got to sign off.

This is the thrid time im blogging the same entry. my last two got throwed away by blogspot because they say : we are in maintainance. chia lat sekali!. anyway. this is the edited half hearted not complete version of the firsttime i did this entry.
Last Saturday, priscilla and i decided to bless our ang mo housemates with a malaysian lunch treat. whats in the menu? Well we cooked kapitan chicken and tomyam seafood.okay for now. let the pictures tell you the story. before any meal, as a true british tradition, we must have appetizers. That morning we have fruit jelly tart.hehe.this picture is taken the night before saturday.as u can see.i have curi curi take a bite.

waaa laa..the tomyam seafood in progress! it taste better than it looks. trust me. its really yummy. i make the tomyam thick and added some small prawn sheellls to give the better roma.

after 20minutes, left one kapitan chicken, tomyam seafood stuff also empty already..leaving just a pool of tomyam soup. surprisingly the ang mos really like the tomyam and kapitan. they are a fan of spicy stuff. even when i have put in chillies and cili padis. Linda is a bomb to even eat spicy food with her newly pierced tongue.
mike showing us that he has what it takes to taste the spicy tomyam. hehe. he loves the prawns. the cutest part of the mal is seeing them, trying to peal the shells off. they havent never eat prawns with the shells on before. so funny hor!
after 10minutes from the 20minutes. nothing is left. the one piece of chicken is in my tummy dee.haha. i save the best for thelast.
theres no complete lunchtime together without a good fellowship after eating our meals. We sat really long and drinking tomyam soup from time to time..just chit chatting. For me this is the main objective of treating our dear ang mos lunch...so that we may know each other better and grow in love.
thank you Mr. Wing Lee Hong for opening your supermarket in chinatown.without you, i will die of starvation here in leeds. tor chea tor chea Mr. Wing.


God has been taking care of me pretty well here. i still miss penang hawker food though. So guys, hope this entry will encourage you in doing something nice for your neighbors. Lets love our neighbors just as Our King did =).

I have just gone thro my first eek of classes. i dont like juri!.i take cyber law...and im thinking of dropping it...feel like taking policing instead.dunno. Lord ,give me your guidance.
